Mechanicsburg, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2016) – School Boards Insurance Company of Pennsylvania, Inc. (SBIC), recently acquired by Church Mutual Insurance Company of Merrill, Wis., announced today that it is changing its corporate name to CM Regent Insurance Company (CM Regent). The new name reflects the company’s position as an important member of the Church Mutual Group.
CM Regent, a leading property and casualty insurance company dedicated to serving Pennsylvania public school entities, is also adopting a new corporate identity. This includes a new logo and easy-to-navigate, streamlined website, cmregent.com.
Church Mutual had announced in October 2015 its intent to acquire SBIC and SCS, both based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, to expand its reach in the public schools market.

Pennsylvania School Boards Association approved the acquisition and is endorsing the continuing programs and services CM Regent will provide to the Pennsylvania market. This acquisition by Church Mutual brings financial strength and stability to CM Regent and will enable the company to invest in its mission to provide comprehensive insurance protection for public school entities.
